What Is Life Really About?

Have you ever walked into a room, been at a party, or had a luncheon with a crowd — and you knew that you didn’t belong?  You couldn’t put your finger on it, but you just didn’t fit in.

That’s life without Jesus.  You never fit in.  You never seem to get it right — say the right thing, choose the right friends, make the right decision.  Life without a personal relationship with Jesus Christ just doesn’t work.  It may seem to work for a season, but after a while — you can’t put your finger on it — but it does not work.

At the very beginning of time, God created man for one purpose — relationship.  First, with Him; then, with others.  God was “lonely”.  I know — it’s not the right word to use.  God is everything; he is in need of nothing…but, you get the picture.  Even though God had everything, he still desired relationship — with US.  That’s awesome.   AND THIS IS STILL GOD’S DESIRE.  God wants to know you — and you can know him (better than you know your best friend).  How?  it’s as easy as a – b – c.

a — admit that you need him.  romans 3:23 says that we have all sinned and fallen short of his purpose for our lives.  we need a savior, and this savior is Jesus.  he came to this earth many years ago to take us back into a relationship with God.  he was born to a virgin, lived a sinless life, and died for you — paying the penalty of sin, death.  however, after three days, he rose from the dead, breaking the curse of sin.

b — believe in Jesus.  acts 16:31 says that if we simply believe in Jesus, we will be saved.  saved from what?  the penalty of sin.  if we sin, we are seperated from God — our purpose.  however, Jesus takes us back into a perfect relationship with God.

c — call upon Jesus.  acts 2:21 says that if we call upon the name of Jesus Christ, we will be saved.  how do we do this?  by praying this simple prayer:

“Jesus, I admit that i need you.  I have sinned and I know that I am guilty.

However, your Word, the Bible, says that if I believe in you,

you will save me.

I believe in you and I confess my need for you.

I call on you now, and

I choose to make you the Lord, the Master, and the Controller of my life.

I am completely yours.”

If you have prayed this prayer, and mean it in your heart, you are now a child of God.  Everyone is God’s creation, but not everyone is God’s child.  You are.

Now, click here and tell us about it. We would love to help you find a group of believers in your area who will celebrate with you.

Congratulations — you now fit in!
